Okay, I can see this community isn't very active but I thought I'd try anyway.

I have medium-tan skin and thick lips, so it's hard to find a lip color that doesn't make me look like a clown. I'm trying to find a natural color that can go with many looks since my hair color changes constantly, but something that will make my lips stan out a little since I like eye makeup and I don't want to look too top heavy.

if i do heavy eye makeup... i usually go with a nude lip b/c it looks crazy having everything made up. lately I'll get a color close to my lip color or with a little tint of pink.

with big lips.. stay away from shiny glosses... it'll just make your lips look bigger.

if you are going for a darker look.. a burgandy lip stain is cool b/c it will darken your lips a bit.. but it's not a heavy lipstick. When I used to dress more goth I would use a lip stain with plain lip gloss over it.

There is this one lipgloss that I use from Mary Kay called Cream & Sugar. If you put it on lighty itll probably look good on you.

But im darker than you so I really dunno what would be good. Your prolly better off just using regular chapstick and glosses

The company that makes Burt's Beeswax makes some colored lip stuff which would probably work well for you since it's not too shiny.
